The Filipino Service top-billed by GMA’s TV and radio channels was officially unveiled in Sydney on 25 June 2008 at a well-attended community event and press conference attended by Philippine diplomats, Filipino-Australian community leaders and friends, the media and businesses. In New Zealand, the Service launched earlier at the official Philippine Independence Day celebration hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Wellington.
